Online seems like the place to be for the time being, since we are still struggling with this Covid 19 pandemic! And though we all miss to touch and hug and dance together we need to accept that this has become some part of our reality, and make the best of it. An online Tango practice then seemed like a good way to get some Tango in our week!
It is also a way to stay sane while staying safe. A way to connect, to reach above and over the miles that might be between us to meet and move together.

Purpose and goals of an online practice
We have been covering various fundamental elements for Tango and movement in general. For example alignment, balance, coordination, breathing, muscles, posture, walks, ochos, musicality and much more.
These are all things that we can work on with and without a partner, in a studio or at home. So this is how we work on them together even if we far away from each other for now
The goal is not only to enhance our movement technique, and enjoy our dances more. My goal, and possibly yours too, is to understand where I currently am, where am I starting from in my body. To understand and respect my body for its limitations and push past them where and when that is possible.
This is a kind of understanding that will allow us all to reach out without fear towards the other; to reach out to the world around us with care, love and respect. It will allow us to BE in unison with our environment, with one another, with our world
And don’t think this puts Tango aside. Just think how can you fully embrace one another if there is no respect for one another?
